Stacey Forsyth, Director of CU Science Discovery, and Kathryn Penzkover, High School Programs Manager, will share their knowledge and insight into what you should know before having a high school student in your lab.  Their session will provide an overview of guidelines and required university paperwork, tips on recruiting and selecting motivated students, training resources for you to use to help prepare high school student researchers and a checklist to ensure you remain on track for a successful mentoring relationship.

Stacey and Kathryn will be joined by Dr. Dana Calhourn from Ecology and Evolutionary Biologywho will share a firsthand experience from her recent mentor relationship.
