
Director of Outreach Partnerships
Dr. Sarah Schreiner is the Director of Outreach Partnerships for STROBE, an NSF Science and Technology Center. Sarah received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 2010 and her PhD in Cell Biology from Yale University in 2016. Sarah did a post doc at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center before joining the education team at STROBE in 2018. Sarah has extensive experience in multidisciplinary research projects, science communication, and running professional development workshops on skills necessary for success in 21st century careers. In her current position at STROBE, Sarah facilitates integrated education and research programming and partnerships for students of all ages, runs a multi-institution summer undergraduate research program, and supervises K-12 outreach activities.
Outside of work, Sarah is a modern quilter, loves gardening, growing orchids, and experimenting in the kitchen, and enjoys exploring the outdoors.
